Brunch at Villa d'Este - weding Villa d'Este

Are you sure blue and yellow are just for Amalfi Coast?

When thinking to a destination wedding in South Italy, first colors jumping in our mind are blue and yellow. Blue as the sparkling sea all along the Amalfi Coast and yellow as the cascade of lemons over your head while eating at Paolino Restaurant in Capri.
For sure this combination of colors adds energy, fun and a 100% summer mood to any summer party!

Over the last wedding season, more brides asked me my thoughts on blue and yellow for their wedding palette.
Honestly, at first sight, I wasn’t so impressed about the idea.
But you know, I’m always looking for new starting point and I consider that as a challenge: leaving my comfort zone made of pale palette to explore new combinations!
As a matter of fact, the color of Lake Como is blue and flowers offer us plenty of  yellow shades and lots of different sizes and shapes alternatives.
With that said, I started my new journey made of elegance and energy, that led me to funny and unexpected discovers!

For a special couple from NY I’ve decided to work on pale shades of yellow and blue. The wedding took place at stunning Villa Pizzo and everything, from flowers to furnishing, from ceremony to dinner has been embraced by warm and elegant touches of these colors.

Blue represents stability and elegance, while yellow symbolizes happiness, positivity and energy.
Together they create a striking impact perfect for a stylish and modern event.
On a certain point I also had the opportunity to involve grooms in this journey and they were more than happy to be perfectly tuned with the mood!

Be open to any request, especially those looking a bit far from my personal preferences.
This way I’ve learnt something new, I’ve felt for one day as I was in Capri and I’ve added a blue and yellow dress to my wardrobe!
